Girl Scout Cookies are more famous than the Girl Scouts themselves. Not every young girl gets to experience the right of passage that the admirable Girl Scouts program espouses, but it’s hard to find someone on the street who has never eaten a Girl Scout cookie. Thin Mints are a national treasure.
Now you may not have to wait until Girl Scout cookie season anymore to order and indulge. In fact, you may not even have to wait until lunch. Girl Scout Cookie cereal is coming! General Mills, the reliable maker of ubiquitous Cheerios, will be making two flavors of Girl Scout Cookie to start. Get ready to pour your milk on Caramel Crunch or, yes, Thin Mints. A limited release of the Girl Scout Cereal will hit grocery store shelves in January. Follow General Mills spokesperson Mike Siemienas for more news.
