In the pilot of Conviction, we met a government agency that re-examines the legal cases of innocent people serving time in jail for crimes they didn’t commit. The agency is headed by former First Daughter Hayes Morrision (Hayley Atwell) and is supported by characters including paralegal Tess Larson. Tess is the youngest professional on the team but she brings first-hand knowledge. As a child, her testimony sent an innocent man to jail.
Tess is portrayed by Emily Kinney. She’s known for her roles on The Knick (Nure Daisy Ryan), Masters of Sex (Nora Everett), The Flash (Brie Larvan aka Bug-Eyed Bandit), The Walking Dead (Beth Greene), and The Big C (Emily), among others. Kinney is also an accomplished singer. Conviction airs Mondays at 10pm on ABC.
