The founder of TekDry, Craig Beinecke of Denver, Colorado, invented a dryer technology and made a patented machine that can save electronics after they’ve accidentally been dropped in water – and in about 20 minutes. TekDry recently made a deal with big box retailer Staples. By November, the TekDry service will be available in 600 Staples stores. Staples is calling it the Wet Phone Service.
At Staples, the “Wet Phone Service” using TekDry technology costs:
- $40 for remote controls, flash drives and e-Cigarettes;
- $70 for smartphones, tablets, cameras, camcorders, wearable electronics;
- $100 for laptops, game systems, and DVD players.
Beinecke will demonstrate how TekDry works on Shark Tank on Friday, October 7 at 9pm on ABC. 27 Favorite ‘Shark Tank’ Products at Amazon — New List
