Welcome to another exciting rendition of Matty Amsterdam’s Essential Fantasy Insights! We’re staying hot, coming after a week that saw Mike Evans live up to the hype, and Jay Ajayi blow it out of the water. Trying to keep the magic going, this week I’m all over Mike Gillislee. I don’t expect the Bills to make the same mistake as last week (though, with Rex Ryan, I admit anything is on the table), and think LeSean McCoy gets the week off. Gillislee will be the focus point of the Bills running game, and I think Rex is going to try to pound the Patriots inside. With that much opportunity, I think Gillislee is looking at a 100-yard and a TD type of game, and there’s a chance he’s still on your league’s waiver wire!
As for who I’m staying away from, it’s Kelvin Benjamin. The Panthers’ offense is still inconsistent at best, and against Arizona and corner Patrick Peterson, I don’t see much opportunity for Benjamin to break out. I know he’s a hard guy to bench, but he’s not doing it for me this week. I think there’s better guys available for you this week (like ANYONE in the Green Bay passing game).
