Before one of the remaining 7 couples are eliminated from Week 8 of Dancing with the Stars, the couples will perform Halloween-themed dances including Calvin Johnson, Jr. and his pro partner Lindsay Arnold. They’re doing a quick-step.
The sultry couple who scored across-the-board 9s last week in a memorable performance will quick-step to “Dr. Bones” by Cherry Poppin’ Daddies. That may be the most controversial band name of any music ever performed on DWTS. But even the title of the act is less brutal than some of the lyrics, which can be found here (warning: NSFW). Sample: “Don’t tell me you’re my friend / Just get the f-*k out of my face / You got me pukin’ in the kitchen sink / I’ve lost my baby and I’ve had too much to drink.” That’s not the worst. Johnson, whose football success had a lot to do with his quick-step, should bring his elegance and drive to the dance floor as he’s done each week. And “Dr. Bones” will give this couple the groove and the rhythm they need to wow the crowd. But it’s a still a surprising choice for a family show.
