The Season 6 premiere episode of Once Upon a Time is titled ‘The Savior.’ Executive producer Edward Kitsis teased that Aladdin was the Savior at Comic-Con: “So we can say that through Aladdin we might learn a lot more about Saviors.” In premiere episode, while the heroes plot to stop Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer), in a flashback “many years ago…”, Aladdin is confronted by the cold-blooded character, Jafar (Oded Fehr), who was once crossed by Aladdin.
Aladdin is portrayed by Deniz Akdeniz. The 26-year-old Australian actor is known for his roles on the TV shows South Beach (Michael Bell) and Graceland (Wayne “Bates” Zelanski) and in the 2014 film I, Frankenstein with Aaron Eckhart. Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC.
