Wé McDonald is the 17-year-old singer who sang “Feeling Good” for her Blind Audition on The Voice, Season 11. Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys buzzed in shortly after. Adam Levine waited until the end of the song. All four stood up and applauded. Everyone was stunned to hear her speaking voice which is much higher than her singing voice. All the coaches pitched reasons why she should chose them — but it was Alicia Keys who said, “You came to this show to meet me.” She added, “I’m not playing. I’m not joking. I’m serious and I’m serious in a place in my heart.” (Yes, she chose Alicia Keys!)
Fun fact about Wé McDonald: She’s not just a talented singer — she also knows sign language. See video below. The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
