Dirk Nowitzki is quick. That’s something nobody ever said, Nowitzki admits, unless they were perhaps talking about his wit. Quick-witted describes the future NBA Hall of Famer quite well. It was on display this week when he learned that a recent scouting report described the veteran Dallas Maverick as running “like he’s a stick in cement.” Nowitzki was no stick in the mud about it. He laughed, and agreed.
But the thing is, Dirk says, he was never fast. Always ran like that stick. Even when he won the NBA MVP and when he led the Mavs to the NBA title in 2011. So nothing much has changed. Or maybe a little. Maybe the cement is starting to dry a bit!
Ha. Spot on. Only problem is I ran like that my whole career…. https://t.co/QoG4yHjvET

You know, cavemen weren’t that fast either, but who could stop them?
