The Lamar Jackson quarterback show starts again promptly at 8pm on Saturday, September 24. The greatest entertainer — and maybe the best athlete — in college football will arrive in Huntingdon, West Virginia to take on the historically resilient Thundering Herd of Marshall University. CBS Sports is the lucky broadcaster and Marshall is likely to be the next unlucky victim of Jackson’s historic march through supposedly able defenses — and the record books.
Three games into the season and Jackson already looks like he’ll have to get hurt not to win the Heisman Trophy. After his Louisville Cardinals obliterated the second-ranked Florida State Seminoles on Saturday 63-20 (the most points FSU has ever surrendered), Jackson is far and away the brightest light in the college game. He has scored EIGHTEEN touchdowns in three games, eight passing and ten rushing. Marshall will try to do what no one else has been able to so far: tackle this man. It could be horrible, depending on what you want to see. Marshall just gave up 65 points on Saturday, at home, to the Akron Zips in a 65-38 loss. And the Zips are not the Seminoles.
#BeHerd RT @_reavisisland: Don’t worry about us we gone be alright. Love my team. Louisville this week. Back to the drawing board. #CallGod
