During the second week of performances on Dancing with the Stars Season 23, the celebrities and their professional dance partners will do quicksteps and foxtrots to TV theme songs. There are obvious choices like Maureen McCormick dancing to The Brady Bunch theme song, Marilu Henner dancing to the Taxi theme song, and Jana Kramer will perform along with the One Tree Hill tune. And there are others that might not make a whole bunch of sense like Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte dancing to The Muppets Show song.
Gavin DeGraw is the musical guest star for the week of September 19. Why DeGraw? There are 3 big reasons:
- DeGraw was a contestant on DWTS, Season 14 with pro partner Karina Smirnoff; they were eliminated week 5.
- DeGraw’s single “I Don’t Want to Be” became the theme song for One Tree Hill (starring current DWTS celeb Jana Kramer).
- DeGraw is currently on tour with one of last season’s DWTS celeb contestants, Andy Grammer, who made it to Week 7 with pro dancer Allison Holker.
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on ABC.
