Sebastian Garcia is the founder of The Lapel Project, a company that sells custom lapel covers designed to turn everyday suit jackets into tuxedo jackets. The idea is to provide an affordable tuxedo (the lapels come with matching bow tie) for those who can’t afford to buy one. The Lapel Project sets sell for $50 to $100.
Garcia is pitching The Lapel Project on Shark Tank — where fashion guru Daymond John calls Garcia, the best salesman he has seen. Garcia knows how to sell men’s clothing. He is co-owner of Sartori Amici, a luxury boutique in Miami that sells fine Italian suits, and he owns The Grooms Room, which sells tuxedos for men and groomsmen for weddings. John is clearly impressed with Garcia but will he see enough potential in The Lapel Project to invest? Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC. 27 Favorite ‘Shark Tank’ Products at Amazon — New List
