The TV movie Perfect Sisters is based on the book The Class Project: How to Kill a Mother: The Story of Canada’s Infamous Bathtub Girls written by Bob Mitchell. It’s a true crime story about two teenage girls who are fed up with their alcoholic mother Linda and her abusive relationships. They plot to kill her in the bathtub. The sisters are portrayed by Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) and Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia).
The mother, Linda, is portrayed by Mira Sorvino. The Oscar-winning actress is known for her TV roles on Falling Skies (Sara), Stalker (Vicki Gregg), Intruders (Amy Whelan), and in the films The Great Gatsby (Daisy Buchanan), Summer of Sam (Dionna), Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (Romy), and the film that won her an Oscar, Woody Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite (Linda Ash), among others. Perfect Sisters will air on Saturday, August 13 at 8pm on Lifetime.
