Actress Barbara Eden is best known for her role as Jeannie in the 1965-1970 sitcom I Dream of Jeannie co-starring Larry Hagman (who later became JR Ewing on another popular TV series Dallas). But before she landed the role of a lifetime, Eden struggled to make ends meet at a showgirl in Vegas. She talks about her personal life with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah: Where Are They Now? As she reveals to Oprah, Eden has suffered many personal losses including having a stillborn child with her first husband Michael Ansara, and the fatal heroin overdose of her only child, Matthew Ansara, 35, just months prior to his wedding in 2001, among others.
