On the American Gothic episode “Nighthawks,” Alison Hawthorne-Price (Juliet Rylance) is focused on her campaign to win the seat of Governor of Massachusetts. She’s close to getting the support of a local professional football player but his endorsement gets tangled up in the Hawthorne family web.
The football player is portrayed by real life NFL placekicker Stephen Gostkowski of the New England Patriots. He’s been playing for the Patriots since 2006, when he was drafted in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He is the Patriots all-time leading scorer and holds the NFL record for most consecutive extra points made, including playoffs (523, 2006–2016). American Gothic airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS.
