Three Jerks Jerky is the jerky made of filet mignon. The founders Jordan Barrocas and Daniel Fogelson sold $250,000 worth of their jerky in the first year of business but they needed an investor to help them grow the business. Barrocas and Fogelson pitched their business on Shark Tank in 2015. They got an investment from Daymond John — $100,000 for 15 percent, with an option to buy another 15 percent for $100k.
Since Shark Tank and partnering with John, Three Jerks Jerky have been getting some great PR including a stint in space. Packages of Three Jerks Jerky were sent to the International Space Station via Space-X in April 2016.
