On The Rap Game episode ‘Rep Your City,’ the young competing artists face the challenge of coming up with a rap about their city. “I want to know how your city defines you,” says producer Jermaine Dupri. He gives them one day to write and then in the studio they go. The kids get some tips from superstars Nelly and Monica but when it’s time to perform, they’re on their own.
Nia Kay is only 14 years old, but the Chicago native sounds more like 24 when she accuses 11-year-old Jayla Marie of Staten Island of not writing her own material. Nia Kay believes Jayla Marie’s material is written by her father. The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10pm on Lifetime.
