On the Shahs of Sunset episode “La Vida Loca,” MJ Javid holds an over-the-top rebirth ceremony at a Hollywood cemetery. Standing at an open coffin, dressed in a tight, strapless white gown, MJ throws things in the coffin including her blush which her mother Vida has told her she wears either too much or too little of. MJ turns to her mother Vida, and says “Mom, I love you but you can’t make decisions for me anymore.”
MJ follows that blush deposit with her birth control pills. MJ announces that she no longer feels like she needs them now that she’s with her boyfriend Tommy — who Vida doesn’t not approve of. There’s a pregnant pause, so to speak, and then Tommy walks up to MJ. He gets emotional when he tells her how much he loves her and then he gets down on one knee and proposes. How does Vida react? Remember, the title of the episode is “La Vida Loca.” Shahs of Sunset airs Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
