The Rap Game is back on Lifetime for Season 2. (Miss Mulatto won last season.) Seven new young artists from all over the country will attend Jermaine Dupri’s ten-week rapper boot camp in Atlanta. They’re all competing for a record contract with Dupri’s record label, So So Def. The kids will get tips and encouragement from idols including Snoop Dogg, Timbaland and Da Brat, among others.
Tally is one of the seven young rappers. During an interview on Hollywood Lives’s The Beat, Dupri said the 16-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee is going to be especially challenged. He explained: “It’s almost like reverse racism because she’s [Tally] white so people don’t expect a lot out of her.” He’s already heard her compared to Iggy Azalea. “She’s going to get a lot of criticism,” said Dupri, “But she definitely has the look, the attitude, and she can definitely become a star.” The Rap Game airs Friday at 10pm on Lifetime.
