Gucci Mane is still in the system. That much is evidenced by the ankle monitor he wears as he pads around his Atlanta manse. But as he serves out the last months of his 3-year jail sentence in the comfort of his own home, he’s out of prison issue and into his own style. The New York Times reports that on their visit to talk with the rap powerhouse, Gucci accented his prison-issue ankle monitor with a pair of Air Jordan 4s.
Gucci drops his new album, Everybody Looking, on July 22. The Air Jordan 4 White Cement 2016 retro goes for about $350. The Air Jordan 4 debuted in 1989, when Gucci Mane (born 1980) was just a kid — and before Michael Jordan won a championship. It signaled good things to come for MJ. Gucci is looking for the same magic.
