The Flex & Shanice episode “Channeling Vegas” is a bittersweet show. While Flex and Shanice are excited about booking a gig together in Las Vegas, they also decide to take a look at their past. Flex and Shanice meet with a medium. Flex has been thinking about his brother Dwayne a lot lately. Dwayne died of AIDS in 1997.
When the medium channels Dwayne, Flex gets extremely emotions. He says: “The last conversation I had with my brother, I was rushing him off of the phone, and the next evening I get the call that he was gone. So I held onto that through all these years. I just wanted him to know how sorry I was.” The medium comforts Flex by telling him, “He loves you. He’s not mad at you.” Flex & Shanice airs Saturdays at 9pm on OWN.
