Actor Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Trumbo) is promoting his latest film The Infiltrator. He plays Robert Mazur, an undercover US Customs official who discovers a money laundering scheme involving Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. As Bob Musella, Mazur infiltrated the Medellin Cartel’s criminal hierarchy and helped bring down the bankers involved. The movie is based on Mazur’s book, The Infiltrator: My Secret Life Inside the Dirty banks Behind Pablo Escobar’s Medellin Cartel.
The day the film was released, Cranston appeared on The Today Show. He posed with the other two guests, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and entertainer Jennifer Lopez, and posted that image on his brand new Instagram account. Within the first six hours of having an account, Cranston has collected more than 31,000 followers. That’s breaking pretty good.
