In the Bones episode “The Movie in the Making”, a documentary film crew comes to Jeffersonian’s Medico-Legal lab. Their job is to televise a “typical” day at the lab as they investigate a murder. Cameras roll as a corpse that was buried in a landfill more than ten years ago surfaces. The investigation leads Booth (David Boreanz) to interrogate a man named Roy Bloom.
Roy Bloom is portrayed by Jack McGee. He’s known for his roles on Rescue Me (Chief Jerry Reilly), NYPD Blue (Desk Sgt. Mahoney), and Blue Bloods (Tom Selleck’s priest Father Quinn), among others. McGee, a former New York City firefighter, is also recognized for his role in the filmes The Fighter (George Ward), Moneyball (John Poloni), and Crash (the gun store owner). Bones airs Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
