In the Season 4 premiere episode of Ray Donovan, while Ray (Liev Schreiber) is trying to recover from the shootout from last season, his father Mickey (Jon Voight) is working as a bartender in a Vegas casino. He’s plotting a heist. But when the casino owner, Big Bill Primm, gets a call from a lawyer whose client claimed that he was drugged at the bar and then robbed in one of the casino’s rooms, Mickey is let go.
The mustache and Bolo tie-wearing Bill Primm is portrayed by Ted Levine. He’s known for his roles on Monk (Captain Leland Stottlemeyer), and in the films American Gangster (Lou Toback), Memoirs of a Geisha (Colonel Derricks), The Manchurian Candidate (Colonel Howard), Ali (Joe Smiley), Heat (Bosko), and The Silence of the Lambs (serial killer Jame Gumb), among others. Ray Donovan airs Sundays at 9pm on Showtime.
