In the Season 2 BattleBots episode “Robots Activate: The Qualifying Round Begins,” 32 teams vying for the championship compete in three-minute matches that result in the destruction or disabling of the contestants. Adam Savage is the guest judge who says being on the set is like a high school reunion. He was part of the heavyweight Blendo team 21 years ago.

He is currently an editor and contributor at Tested.com (which recently featured this season’s BattleBots, see video below). BattleBots airs Thursdays at 8pm on ABC.
