There are 52 contestants vying for the title of Miss USA at the 65th annual pageant this year in Las Vegas. There are more than 50 spots because of the District of Columbia and an extra slot for the runner-up for Miss Oklahoma, Alex Miller, who won an online contest. (Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, was named Miss USA 2015.) Former Dancing with the Stars dancer and judge Julianne Hough and former E! News anchor Terrence J. Jenkins co-host the show. The Backstreet Boys and Chris Young will perform during the show.
Chris Young is the 30-year-old country singer known for winning the TV competition Nashville Star in 2006. Since then he signed with RCA Records Nashville and has released five albums including his latest I’m Comin’ Over. The album’s third single, “Sober Saturday Night” featuring Vince Gill, starts with this lyric: “I feel terrible, sunlight’s hurting my eyes” and leads into “No, I’m not hungover it’s true, but I’m still not over you.” “Sober Saturday Night” will be released June 6, the day after the Miss USA Pageant which airs Sunday, June 5 at 7pm on FOX.
