In the Thicker Than Water: The Tankards episode “Oh Baby,” Ben Tankard accuses his daughter-in-law Latisha “Tish” Tankard of being stingy with her one-year-old baby, Micah (Ben’s grandson). Latisha defends her stinginess calmly by asking Ben, “if you just got the car of your dreams, are you going to let anyone handle it?” Tish’s pregnant sister-in-law Shanira Tankard defends Ben: “They’ve (Ben and his wife Jewel) have four kids; what do you know that they don’t?” Tish says, “You’ll see.”
Tish’s husband Marcus won’t let the conversation die. He says to Shanira: “Ask dad if he’s ever changed a diaper.” Ben makes a joke about not changing diapers and Shanira gives a prime example of what Ben means by Tish’s stinginess — she won’t even let anyone hold Micah during dinner. Marcus loses his cool and his raised voice wakes Shanira’s husband Benji who describes his brother’s behavior as hostile. Shanira tells Marcus “you’re taking this too far” which infuriates Marcus even more. Thicker Than Water: The Tankards airs Sundays at 9pm on Bravo.
