Andrea Cao was 13 years old when she and her mother Hong appeared on Shark Tank. They pitched their handheld acupuncture massage device, Q-Flex. They landed an investment from two Sharks, Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban ($25,000 for 25 percent). After Shark Tank, annual sales of Q-Flex went from $20,000 to $500,000.

2015 was a busy year for Andrea Cao. She graduated from Laguna Middle School and is now a student at San Luis Obispo High School. She continues to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams (she appeared on Lori Greiner’s QVC) and her passion for horses. With the money made from Q-Flex, Andrea bought a horse ranch and fulfilled her dream of adopting a wild mustang. Andrea admits that traveling across the country with her family has caused her to skip “way too much school for business” but her mother shouldn’t worry. Andrea recently visited UC Davis where she was impressed with their Vet Sciences program. Update: In May 2017, Andrea created Andrea Equine, an equine tack and apparel company.
