In the Vinyl episode “The King and I,” when Richie (Bobby Cannavale) and Zak (Ray Romano) hear that the King of Rock n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, isn’t happy with his label, they go to Las Vegas to try to woo Elvis into signing a contract with American Century.
Elvis is portrayed by Shawn Klush. Klush is a world-renowned Elvis Presley tribute artist who’s appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, in the TV movie Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story, 3000 Miles to Graceland, and the short film The Magic Bracelet written by Diablo Cody. In April 2016, Klush will launch his European tour in the UK with Elvis‘s original backing singers ‘The Sweet Inspirations’ who toured with Elvis from 1969-1977. Vinyl airs Sundays at 9pm on HBO.
