On The Family, Claire Warren (Joan Allen), the mayor of Red Pines, Maine is running for governor. Her campaign is thrown for a loop when her son Adam (Liam James), who was presumed dead after disappearing ten years ago, reappears. Claire couldn’t be happier, and the man who spent the past 10 years in jail for Adam’s murder, Hank (Andrew McCarthy), is pretty excited too. But the rookie detective who put Hank in jail — and as a result was promoted to Sergeant, Nina Meyer, is left in an awkward situation.
Sgt. Nina Meyer is portrayed by Margot Bingham. The actress and singer is best known for her role as jazz singer Daughter Maitland on Boardwalk Empire. Since then she’s appeared on Matador (Billie) and will appear in the film Barbershop: The Next Cut (Bree), which will be released on April 15, 2016. The Family airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
