Exotic dancer and aspiring model Paula Sladewski (she once posed for Playboy) was 26 years old when her body was found burned inside a Miami trash bin. She was in Miami to spend New Year’s Eve and the long weekend with her boyfriend of two years, Kevin Klym. On January 3, Sladewski and Klym were at Miami’s popular Club Space and had a fight. (The couple had a history of assault against each other.) Klym was kicked out of the club and took a cab to their hotel room while Sladewski stayed. Surveillance video from the club shows Sladewski leaving with a different man.
A police sketch was drawn of the man. When Klym saw the sketch he said it looked like one of the bouncers who worked at the club. With Dateline NBC filming, Klym returned to Miami and “went undercover, hoping not to be recognized” at the club. When he exited the club two hours later, Klym reported to Dateline that everything – the surveillance system and security — is different. “They changed out the staff, especially they security crew,” claimed Klym. The owners of Club Space say “baloney” and police say the sketch doesn’t look like any of the bouncers. Dateline NBC will re-air its investigative report on Saturday, April 2 at 8pm.
