Mark Hunt is ready to do some more fighting. He’s never lost a rematch, he points out. That’s the glass-half-full way of looking at his losing record against all the MMA’s current top guns: champion Fabricio Werdum, Junior dos Santos, Stipe Miocic, and Alistair Overeem. But why shouldn’t Hunt think his glass is half full? He was the only guy in the ring able to stand up and take a sip after his walk-off knockout of Frank Mir at UFC Fight Night 85. Hunt entered the fight ranked No. 9.
Mark Hunt just waiting to uncork one. And he did! Walkoff KO

Was the fight stopped too soon? Not if you wanted two sentient fighters on their feet. That’s what Hunt told the media afterwards. After Hunt landed the shot that knocked Mir out, the attacking Hunt said Mir was gone. “He was out, somewhere else,” Hunt said. “He wasn’t there. He was blacked out.” Mir hasn’t been there often enough lately, the record shows:
Frank Mir has now lost 6 of 8 with 3 coming by knockout. That’s not a good stretch, particularly at 36
