Gotham is back for its Season 2 winter premiere. During the “Wrath of the Villains” episodes, top cryogenics expert Mr. Freeze (Nathan Darrow, House of Cards) appears and casts a wintry gloom over the city. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) becomes a patient at Arkham Asylum where he’ll meet the head guy in charge, Hugo Strange. “The villains come in [to Arkham Asylum] already terrible and they come out even more terrible or terrible in a completely different way,” says BD Wong who plays Hugo Strange.
BD Wong is best known for his TV roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (Dr. George Huang) and Oz (Father Ray Mukada), and his role as Dr. Henry Wu in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. Wong is also known as a Broadway actor – he won the 1988 Tony Award for Actor in a Featured Role in the production of M. Butterfly. Gotham will need to watch out for Wong, who showed he’s a formidable foe in voicing his disdain for the racist jokes targeting Asians delivered by 2016 Oscars host Chris Rock. (see below.) P.S. Gotham airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
Congratulations, @chrisrock. Everyone is sayin you killed it tonight. #yellowisacolortoo pic.twitter.com/fg0Nco4zSu
