Kristina Guerrero (aka Turbo) is the former Air Force Captain from La Pine, Oregon, who created TurboPUP, a line of energy bars for dogs. She came up with the idea while hiking with her husband and dog. When they took a break on the trail, the humans ate energy bars but they didn’t have the equivalent of an energy bar for the dog. That’s when Guerrero got into the kitchen and started to make a batch for her dog using all natural ingredients so it was safe on her dog’s sensitive stomach.

Guerrero pitched TurboPUP on Shark Tank and got a deal with Daymond John ($100k for 35 percent). TurboPUP continues to sell its Peanut Butter and Bacon favors on the TurboPUP website (a six-pack sells for $18). Since appearing on Shark Tank, TurboPUP has extended the brand to include pouches of TurboPUP Crunchie Bites with Roast Duck and Kale flavors.
