On an episode of What Would You Do? at an ice cream shop, a little boy is berated by his father who refuses to buy his son ice cream because he lost a baseball game. Even though the father and son are wearing matching WWYD t-shirts, a group of young men don’t catch on that they’re on the show. When the father steps away from the son, the young men – who happen to play baseball for Seton Hall University – approach the little boy and offer to buy him ice cream. When the father returns, one young man “steps up to the plate” to tell the father that the lesson he’s teaching his son is wrong. That’s Matt Leon.
Matt Leon, #41, is a sophomore from Bethlehem, PA. He’s a right-handed pitcher for the Pirates with a 4.64 ERA in 33.0 innings pitched… Struck out 23 batters and walked 19… Opponents hit .244 off him… Pitched a scoreless inning vs. Creighton on May 23 in the BIG EAST Championship.” Leon was named team captain of his high school team and was named Cy Young of the team in 2014. What Would You Do airs Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC.
