Actor Joe Manganiello is known for many roles including werewolf Alcide Herveaux on True Blood. His latest role as the husband of actress Sofia Vergara has spurred some funny stories. On The Late Late Show with James Corden, while sitting beside Oscar nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Manganiello tells a funny story about a time he and Vergara were spotted in a fried chicken restaurant in New Orleans.
Manganiello says he and Vergara walked into a restaurant that was closing and pleaded with the waitress, but she said no. When Vergara asked in that thick Colombian accent – Manganiello did his best impersonation – their cover was exposed. The waitress said, “I don’t care who you are Sofia Vergara you’re not getting chicken.” But when another waitress heard Vergara’s voice, she stopped and looked and announced, “It’s Gloria and the Werewolf!” Don’t worry, they got their chicken.
