In the Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode “The Cruise,” NYPD dating detectives Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) take their relationship one step further and go on a cruise together. On the cruise ship, Jake discovers his old adversary Doug Judy is working as a lounge singer who goes by the name Horatio Velveteen. Jake is excited at first, he’s been hunting Judy for years, but it turns out it was Judy who sent them the free tickets. Judy’s life is in peril. He needs their protection.

Doug Judy is portrayed by Craig Robinson. The Chicago-born actor is best known for his roles on Mr. Robinson (Craig Robinson), The Office (Darryl Philbin), and from the Hot Tub movies (Nick). Or you might recognize his voice from The Cleveland Show (LaVar “Freight Train” Brown). Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 9pm on FOX.
