Larry Lieberman founded Vision Quest Lighting 20 years ago in 1996. The custom lighting company is one of the largest in the U.S. serving hotels, theme parks (Universal Studios), national retail stores (Chanel, Abercrombie & Fitch), corporate offices, and individuals looking to add that special touch to their high-end residential projects. Vision Quest Lighting does everything from concept development to design and engineering to fabrication. But when the company got hit by slumping sales, Lieberman got anxious and kept making cuts — so much so that he’s in danger of cutting himself out of a business. Luckily for Lieberman, Marcus Lemonis of The Profit will visit Vision Quest’s 20,000 sq. ft. facility on Long Island, New York, to see how he can help.
The good news is: Lieberman still has one of Lemonis’ 3 Ps To Business Success – a really good Product. Vision Quest’s superior work at be seen in places including Universal Studios’ Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. (See photo below of the Gringotts Bank.) The other 2 Ps missing from Vision Quest are the right People to lead the company which must employ a better Process. The Profit airs Tuesdays at 10pm on CNBC.
