Husband and wife team Mark and Amber Schaub are behind the children’s clothing company Rufflebutts. They pitched the business which is known for their signature ruffle bottoms on Shark Tank. They were in a good situation. They had already sold $4 million and had no debt. Barbara Corcoran gave them an offer — $600k for 12% but half of the money would be a line of credit. Lori Greiner offered $600k for 10% but half of her money she wanted paid back in the first year (like a loan). They talked Greiner down to 9% and made the deal, to the surprise of Corcoran and Mark Cuban. When the Schaubs left the tank, Cuban said he didn’t think they really understood the offer.

Whether or not it was a good deal for the Schaubs hasn’t stopped celebrities from dressing their little ones in RuffleButts or their spinoff brand, RuggedButts. In November 2015, rock star and The Voice coach Gwen Stefani was spotted carrying her little boy Apollo wearing the Buffalo Plaid Button Down from RuggedButts. Stefani joins the growing A-list of RuffleButt fashion-forward fans including Jessica Simpson, Giuliana Rancic and Jessica Alba.
