The Los Angeles Rams are about to experience new life on the West Coast. Rams owner Stan Kroenke expects it to be the best second chance for the Rams since Warren Beatty came back from the dead to quarterback the team in Heaven Can Wait. Kroenke, known as “Silent Stan” for his reluctance to speak to the media, also owns the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche and Colorado’s Major League soccer franchise, the Rapids.
But that’s not Kroenke’s big soccer stake. Kronke, who made his billions building strip malls and then diversifying into all kinds of businesses, diversified beyond American sports when he became the majority owner — through Arsenal Holdings plc — of the famous Arsenal FC of the Premier League. The Arsenal FC is valued at $1.3 billion. With the Los Angeles move, the Rams are expected to be worth at least twice that.
