Howard Stern Is Always In Bed By 8pm, His Wife Beth Reveals

Howard Stern is a hardworking man — and one who gets up early. (The alarm goes off at 4 am on days when Stern does his radio show.) But Stern doesn’t just hit the sack early on worknights. He’s so regimented that even on vacations, special occasions — wherever the “King of All Media” happens to be — when 7:30 rolls around, Stern is looking for his pajamas. That’s what Stern’s wife Beth told Ellen DeGeneres this week on Ellen’s show. Ellen and Beth became friendly at Jennifer Aniston‘s wedding to Justin Theroux, a celebrity-studded affair that Howard couldn’t stop talking about afterwards.

Thing is, Beth reports, what Howard couldn’t talk about was anything that happened after 8 o’clock — because the couple was out of there. Stern is so dedicated to his health and sleep regimen that even partying with Hollywood’s A-List (and all its Friends) won’t tempt him to abandon it. As a bonus, when Stern hits the hay at home he’s got lots of cozy company. Stern and his wife have adopted more than 200 rescue cats over the past couple of years and they live with all of them. Cats, like Howard Stern, know how to get some sleep.
