Co.Alition is a high-tech backpack that comes with a wireless hard drive so wherever you go you’ll be connect and charged. It comes with a power supply, too. And the Co.Alition backpack is waterproof – so your electronics can keep dry. The two millennials from Denver, Jeff Popp and Casey Lorenzen, behind Co.Alition will pitch their product on Shark Tank (January 29). They’re going to get grilled by the sharks who quickly deduce that there’s nothing proprietary about Co.Alition and as Daymond John points out, there are lots of smart backpacks out there, and some with solar panels so you don’t need a charger.
[Co.Alition backpacks are also available on Amazon]
But Popp and Lorenzen bring a solid entrepreneur record to the Tank. They’ve been in the backpack business for six years. They own another company, an outdoor brand called MHM that’s done $1.2 million. But that company is not on the table in the Tank. The Co.Alition backpacks are available in two designs (The Federal, The Colfax) and in two colors (cement, charcoal). Without tech The Colfax backpack sells or $199. With power (3 full phone charges or 1 full tablet charge) and a wireless hard drive the total is $499. Shark Tank airs Fridays at 9pm on ABC.
