Adam Lasher auditioned last year on American Idol. He had a beard, long hair and wore a headband back then. He’s back for the fifteenth and final season — but this time Lasher is sporting a cleaner cut look (short hair and a suit). At first, the celeb judges Harry Connick Jr, Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban don’t recognize him.
Lasher, nephew of the great rock guitarist Santana, says he came back to Idol to show “what I’m capable of.” He added, “It’s one thing to be good and sound good but it’s another to really connect with who you’re singing to.” At the Season 15 audition Lasher performs a Samba version of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” He’s here in the last season to knock one more time, see if he gets a better answer. American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
