There are several new faces – and voices – on Season 6 of Love & Hip Hop, including Mariahlynn. VH1 describes her as “the ultimate survivor” as she grew up in Newark, New Jersey “hopping from foster home to foster home.” The young rapper caught the attention of DJ Self, who’s also on the show with his club dancing girlfriend Yorma Fernandez.

The comical video for Mariahlynn’s first hit, “Once Upon a Time (not long ago, I was a hoe),” is getting rave reviews on YouTube (see below). Kareem Awad writes, “She killed it, at least she’s being real and she super bad.” Kashif Reid chimes in, “I salute her honesty.” Even the ladies agree. Lisa Arroyo writes, “Well at least she’s admitting it lol.” Love & Hip Hop airs Mondays at 8pm and 10pm onVH1.
