The TV movie Coat of Many Colors looks at the young life of country music legend Dolly Parton. The story is based on true events that Dolly, as a nine-year-old girl portrayed by Alyvia Alyn Lind, experiences with her family. The Parton family struggled to make ends meet in the mountains of Tennessee in the 1950s but they had each other. They found inspiration in each other and through music. Dolly first started singing in her grandfather’s Pentecostal church.
