In the TV movie The Riverbank, a young woman named Kate Mason returns to her hometown after the death of her stepmother. During her stay, she uncovers a number of dark family secrets which are connected to her stepmother’s death and the disappearance of her mother, Iris Mason, 30 years ago. Kate’s police officer father Joe Mason (Kenneth Welsh) isn’t much help.

Kate Mason is portrayed by Kari Matchett. The Canadian-born actress is best known for her roles on Covert Affairs (Joan Campbell), Leverage (Maggie Collins), Crash (Jules), ER (Dr. Skye Wexler), Heartland (Kate Armstrong), Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (Mary Tate), and 24 (Lisa Miller). The Riverbank will air on LMN on December 27 at 8pm. It will air again on December 28 at 12 am and January 3 at 2 pm.
