In the movie The Riverbank, Kate Mason (Kari Matchett) returns to her hometown when the body of her stepmother turns up in the riverbank. During her own investigation, without much help from her dubious police officer father Joe Mason (Kenneth Welsh), Kate discovers a number of family secrets, some which are related to the disappearance of her mother, Iris, 30 years ago. With all of this tension building, Kate also finds time to have a steamy affair with local cop Matt Costin.

Police officer Matt Costin is portrayed by Rick Roberts. The Canadian-actor is best known for his roles on Covert Affairs (Deputy DCI Joseph Nichols), Republic of Doyle (Mayor William Cadigan Clarke), and Saving Hope (Dr. Druckerberg). The Riverbank will air on LMN on December 27 at 8pm. It will air again on December 28 at 12am and January 3 at 2pm.
