The CEO of Toys “R” Us, Dave Brandon, announced that the toy store will close its Times Square location — which is so large it houses an indoor Ferris wheel and a gigantic T-Rex robot. After 14 years, Toys “R” Us decided not to renew its lease. Shoppers have until December 30, 2015 to visit the giant store/entertainment center.
Brandon is trying to reassure toy-loving Manhattanites that the company is looking for another location in Midtown. (P.S. There are 800 other Toys “R” Us stores in the country.) But what will happen to T-Rex is still an unknown. “We are in the process of identifying any future use,” Brandon told local TV station PIX.
