LovePop Cards is a line of 3D or “pop-up” greeting cards created by Wombi Rose and John Wise. The two met and became best friends while studying to become naval architects at Webb Institute. After graduation, while traveling in Vietnam, they discovered the art of kirigami — it’s similar to origami but uses cutting and folding. (Kiru means to cut.)

Think they just threw their naval architecture graduate degrees out the window? Not exactly. The design software program behind LovePop Cards is based on fancy ship design software! Once LovePop was in the works, Rose and Wise went back to school. They just received their MBAs from Harvard Business School. Rose and Wise will pitch their business on Shark Tank on December 11, 9pm on ABC. If you like any of the cards shown on the program, you can buy them at LovePopCards.com, on Amazon, or for a set 6 visit TheGrommet.
