Most women don’t feel their sexiest right after giving birth and those stiff, generic hospital gowns don’t help. After giving birth to her daughter and having to wear a not-so-comfortable gown which was particularly difficult to adjust while breastfeeding, Deidra Haysel decided to make her own. And then she started to sell them. Her Hot Mama maternity gowns were made of 100 percent organic cotton and were designed for breastfeeding moms. And perhaps most important, they were attractive.

Haysel pitched her business on Shark Tank but didn’t get a deal. Since then, Hot Mama Gowns has folded but there are plenty of other brands making equally soft and cute maternity gowns including Baby Be Mine
