On the Code Black episode “Buen Árbol,” Dr. Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville) bonds with illegal immigrant Flora Saracho (Vanessa Martinez) whose son Pablo (Julian Zane) is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. The rest of the doctors and nurses in the Emergency Room are tending to patients who were injured by a woman named Dorothy (June Squibb) who doesn’t remember what happened.
ER nurse Amy is portrayed by Gabrielle Carteris. She’s best known for her role as Andrea Zuckerman on Beverly Hills, 90210. Since then, she’s appeared on several TV shows including JAG, NYPD Blue, Crossing Jordan, and The Middle. When not on a set, Carteris is representing her fellow actors as Executive Vice President of the union, SAG-AFTRA. In October 2015, she was re-elected to her second two-year term. It was a landslide election. Carteris received 79% of the votes over Patricia Richardson (Jill Taylor, Home Improvement). Code Black airs Wednesdays at 10pm on CBS.
